I love this project! It’s quick and easy; the perfect project for an early December embroidery club. Oh, and it makes a terrific Christmas gift, as if you didn’t know. Retailers login to download designs and instructions.
The topper portion wraps around any towel bar or handle, to keep the towel in place. Use it in the kitchen, bathroom, workroom, laundry or anywhere you need a towel. Four beautiful flower designs are included in Flowers in Bloom Embroidery Designs #sc076d to help you change seasons with your towels.
I’ve also included two bird motif labels with the designs. They are super duper cute if I do say so myself.
My proof reader Patricia from Life’s A Stitch in Sault Ste. Marie made a couple of changes to her Towel Topper. She explains, "I used fusible fleece, instead of leaving the stabilizer in place; it gives the towel topper more body than the stabilizer. To keep the stitching from showing through to the front, I attached the Velcro to the back before sewing the layers together. I think I will put a button and buttonhole in my next topper; I am finding the Velcro is catching a bit on the loops of my towel."
