A friend recently asked me to make her a small coin purse to go with a new handbag. I was delighted to do it of course. She needed the coin purse to fit her change and at least a couple of folded up bills. Sounds pretty simple right? Well, not really, it took me two tries to get the size right. It then occurred to me that I already had a coin purse project from a couple of years back.
Too bad I didn't think of it earlier. Anyway, her coin purse is done and she is delighted with it. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of it. So then I thought, since I had the instructions why not share them with you. To make sure the instructions worked as well as I remembered, I made a couple more coin purses. (You never know who else might want one). I am very pleased with the way they turned out. I even made one from some scraps of leftover leather. That's the one in the back. It's a bit hard to see, I know.
It's fully lined.
And I found this fun zipper pull with my initial.
Here is a PDF of the instructions. By the way, this is a sewing project, not an embroidery one. It sews together so quickly, you'll love it. Enjoy! And Happy New Year!
