A few years ago I made Christmas stockings for my niece’s kiddos, Chris and Alexa. So this year I wanted to make one for my nephew’s little one. Sophie is turning one in February, so this is her very first Christmas.
I used my favorite stocking pattern with a snowflake from the embroidery designs that are included with the stocking pattern. You can find it in my Etsy store here. The snowman head is from a kit that I purchased last year. It’s not machine embroidery; it’s just regular old applique, but super easy to do because the shapes are so large. I tried to find the website where I got the kit, but could not find it again – sorry. I am working on a similar design for machine embroidery. Probably won't be ready until next year, but I will let you know when it's done.
The name is embroidered in a font called Lavanderia. First I used the QuickFont wizard in my embroidery software to create the lettering. It was OK but not perfect. So I finally had to digitize the name. Took a little bit of time, but it was worth it
